Good Night and Good Luck

This afternoon I braved the outside world and saw the Edward R. Murrow movie, Good Night and Good Luck. Wow. Good, well thought out, carefully constructed film, everybody. Great performance by the guy playing Murrow. Good editing--seemed like a short movie; no dead space, even though some shots are lingered over. I can understand that this movie might not be everyone's cup of tea (um, there's not a lot of action, and it's not a character study so much as it is about news and facts in the face of fear mongering). If you know me, you know that I don't like being lectured to, but believe me this movie worked as a movie--it did *not* come across like a liberal civics lesson. Really.
