Daytripping Crown

Under the original plan, J/S and I were not going to Crown (for several mundane reasons, including the fact that we need to be somewhere at 6:30 pm Sat.) but now J/S has a meeting with Klaus at Crown so that they can talk about an armoring joint venture. :-) The plan now is to get to Crown early Saturday and leave by 5:30, 6:00 pm at the very latest. It will be nice to see people. :-)

In other news:

-- My car is back in the shop. I have to call this morning after 8:00 to see it I can pick it up. A belt is still being a problem. Blah.

-- Worked Saturday and missed Gianetta's Laureling. Good thing was I feel better about work now. Bad thing is that I missed the ceremony. Got to see some pics, though. And I told Mistress Gianetta that I'd cook her dinner to make it up to her, so she would have the opportunity to stand around and hassle the cook. ;-)

-- Working on some sewing for ianhess, which is kinda interesting.

-- Made another dent in making the house look less like hoarders live here. Made the breakfast nook usable, and cleaned the kitchen. The living room has a growing assemblage of "for sale" stuff, though. And J/S and my housemate's BF will make a dump run this week, which will really help clear the backyard.

-- Marguerite and Brandee had a Turkey Encounter while riding on the trail to A&S. The turkey jumped out and flew low over Brandee's head. Brandee had a real spook -- spun around and tried to run home, according to M. Poor Brandee, she has to put up with so much. ;-)

I've never sewn/made patterns for someone of your body type. I'm having to go with what I *see* instead of what I *expect*.

I was sorry you weren't at A&S but I applaud you as a Responsible Adult (tm)!

Unfortunately, we won't be at Crown - we need a "down" weekend REAL BAD. We'll just have to make another date...
