The green pea pesto seemed quite interesting, didn't it? I think I'll try some of those recipes myself.

I'm not so sure they would be as inexpensive as the writer thinks, though. Buying a bottle of olive oil would be a real investment on the limited budget she's talking about.

I've got to agree with Khanegabs, cooking for a $1 a meal is much easier when you're starting from a full pantry.
