callistotoni: (Me 16th C 2)

I'm selling some dresses. I work in Sunnyvale and live in Livermore, and so I can arrange for a viewing if you are interested.

-- 16th C Florentine (the one in the icon). Metal shot 100% silk, with silk organza interlining and silk lining. Much detail work on the sleeves, with bunches of metal aglets. Wear on the skirt where the metal has gotten caught on things and pulled out. Because of the material and the labor in the sleeves I'd like to get $800.

-- Pink 16th venetian, as seen here:

Cotton brocade. I'll throw in the "bathouse babe" undershift and the cotton/silk hand-pleated camicia. Some dirt staining on hem. Make me an offer.

-- Dark Garden Victorian corset. Thick pale silk satin. Was made for me when I was heavier, so it would fit a size 12-14 with a longer waist. Here's a silly shot of me in it:

I paid $800. Obviously I don't want that much. Make me an offer.

-- Edwardian underwear, made from the Laughing Moon pattern. Linen with cotton machine-made bobbin lace.

-- A 100% silk peu-de-soile (sp?) sleeveless Edwardian ballgown, lapis blue. About a size 8-10. Has train with hand-made dust ruffles (I made this thing in 1990). I will try to get a picture of this tomorrow. Very little wear.

I also have some silk and wool I can sell. I'll post that tomorrow once I have a chance to measure how much I have of each.

Again, I can arrange for viewings if you are in the south bay or nearish-to Livermore, of if we can arrange to meet at an SCA event.

Oooo, can we talk about the pink Venetian? Can you lmk the general bust/waist measurements & bodice length is My main concern is that I'm a bit short-waisted, & that's hard to adjust for. Otherwise, I can hem & take up sleeves as needed.

I don't know what "lmk" means, I'm afraid. :-( But I can tell you that from the shoulder point to waist measurement is about 16 in. Waist and bust measurement is super flexible because it's open in the front and there's a lot a leyway.

I think I work a stone's throw away from you. I'm on Bordeaux, right off of Matilda. Shoot me a message if you'd like to see the dress at lunch or after work sometime. :-)

Do you have a larger pic of the Florentine, and approximate measurements for it?
