Procrastinators R Us :-/

callistotoni1) Cannot concentrate on anything today. Might have something to do with my staying up until 1 AM sewing on J/S' gambason.
2) The Gods of Irony are laughing at me these days. Don't worry, I'm laughing with them. ;-) There are three reasons for this, one of which I'm not at liberty to share. But the two reasons I can share are
-- That whole fighting-thing becoming a significant part of my life and event planning, and
-- Now that we have year with at least 2 fabulous 16th C officially-sponsored activities (the 16th C Venetian Ball at March Crown, and 16th C Day at West/An Tir War), all my brain wants to think about is 14th C stuff (becoming a better storyteller so I can share Decameron stories, clothing, food, material culture.) I am feeling guilty about this, but I can't deny it's happening. Maybe part of it is that it's new, maybe it's just that sewing the 14th C stuff just seems less daunting to me since time is so short for me these days.
3) I'm on this email list that I can't bring myself to quit because every once and a while I get a really good piece of information from it. But lately, jeeze, people, a little commiseration about the foibles of humanity is OK and understandable, but past that y'all just sound like you're making yourselves feel superior. Blah.
4) Life with J/S is wonderful. :-)
5) J/S and I breifly went over the WK Calander. We will need to edit, even if there is something we'd *like* to go to. So far we've decided not to go to Beltane Coronation. So far it looks like:
- Mar. 13: Darkwood White Sheild (an event that everyone I talk to raves about, but I've never been and, of course, neither has J/S.

freewaydiva, I know you'll be down visiting and I hope I get to spend some time with you! :-)
- Southern Shores Newcomers Tourney. With all the recent conversations I'vJ/S and I have had recently (with ourselves and other people) about the problems the WK is having that are probably at least partly based on the fact that we are not getting new people we think that this is an important event to go to.
- April 10: Mists Coronet (may daytrip)
-- April 23-25. Spring Equestrium. Will be camping with Brandee (oh, the joys of hot tape...). J/S and I will be doing much groundcrew duty.
-- May 15: Mists/Cynagua War. Will daytrip
-- May 22: Mists Investiture. L&G step down, must be there.
-- May 28-31 (Memorial Day weekend): Grand Thing. I'm not used to these long drives, but if we lived in An Tir it would not be so unusual...
-- June 12&13: A&S (will daytrip)
-- June 18-20: June Crown (up in the air about this, because...
-- July 1-4: West/An Tir
I'm not sure we can do all this. It looks crazy to me. :-0
6) Marguerite and my trainer have Brandee until Sunday, so I'm getting a few days off from the barn. I love my Paint Pony, but I need that extra 3 hrs/day right now to catch up on work and life and some SCA committments.
7) Work is not as good as I'd like it. As of right now, when my current contract ends in a few months there is no other contract to work on. I've got a company internal project I can bill, but that isn't full time. Not making me happy, but we will see what happens; tricks have been pulled out of the hat before.
8) Tarnmist is always a fun place to visit. :-)
