Move Progress and Plea for Help :-O

callistotoniThe pod arrives up in PDX today for packing. Many thanks to those of you that are helping the still-recovering J/S pack. (Good news: operation was covered by insurance. Bad news: J/S still shouldn't be lifing anything and serious pain happens when he overdoes it. :-/ ). I fly up Thursday, the pod is picked up Friday, and J/S and I drive south Saturday and Sunday.
Down here in Livermore, I've been working away at getting the house ready. Progress has been made, but now we're at the stuff that I can't do myself.
Here's my plea for help:
The biggest job is to move a bunch of furniture from the garage up to Owen's mom's garage (in Pleasant Hill, a bit less than and hour's drive from Livermore). This is furniture that Owen does not want to get rid of, so it has to be moved not disposed of.** There is a box spring, bed head and base board, a vanity, a couch, some heavy wood screens, and a computer desk. There is also a second couch, but that is my housemate Maria's and she's supposed to deal with that.

ermine_rat is schedualed to come and help (Rat, do you have a truck?) and I'm *really* hoping that we can focus on moving the furniture to Owen's mom's garage. It all has to be out of the garage before the pod shows up because when that happens the pod will block the garage door and we won't be able to move large items out. :-( . Anyway, if you can come and help (and especially if you have a vehicle we can move stuff in) it would be greatly appreciated. If you can come during the day, that would be super good (maybe make a trip before the traffic gets bad), but it would be great if you can come help in the evening after work as well. Bottom line is I need to get this stuff moved out before the pod arrives, and if it's raining I can't just set it outside. And given that J/S is the walking wounded and I'm a wimp we are not capable of moving this stuff ourselves.
We'd also appreciate help once the pod arrives, from Wednesday the 10th through Sunday 14th. Most of that work, I suspect, will be setting up J/S's shops. Again, he's not going to be able to lift anything because of his recent surgery. Unfortunately, many of you will be at Estrella, and so can't help even if you'd otherwise want to. But if you can come and help it would be a lifesaver for us. We'll buy dinner! And Drinks! :-)
**Please just take it as a given that I have to deal with this and not Owen. I need to get this done, and the reality is that I have to make it happen--not a fight worth fighting.
