...can I screw these tippits up? More ways than I thought, apparently. Had to step away from them, yet again. Went and watched my latest Netflix disk, which has been sitting around for about a month now (working through the American animie The Last Airbender series, believe it or not.) So, no, those (insert expletive of your choice) tippits will not be done for this weekend. Blah.

And, yes, I felt the earthquake out here in Livermore. Big single jolt; shook the living room like someone hit the house with a car. I read it was centered nearby and was a 3.7 .

Oh, and I've been thinking that our 14th C playdate would be pretty lowkey, mostly be us entertaining the cooks. I'm bringing the Decameron and some selected Canterbury tales and some other 14th C -relevant books for people to check out, as well as some bocce and water and some wine. I'm prepared to lead a discussion of Patient Griselda, for Crystal and I and anyone else interested. :-) If anyone out there has some more suggestions we have a couple of days to add to the fun. :-)

I had lunch with Learnteach yesterday, and we talked a little more about stuff. he's got a plan together for roasting eggs which should be lots of fun. The treblemakers are planning to come by, which should be very cool. j_i_m_r said she'd bring extra recipes for anyone who wanted to try them. I'll write up a proper post this afternoon.

Speaking of the treblemakers, does anybody know about what time all this is happening, and when we should be there? Three of us will be there all day, but #4 is coming in special for this.

I think CallistoToni said in the previous post that she planned to be on-site at 11am, so sometime after that. I'm not sure there's any set schedule for Saturday.

the Cook's playdate is going to end about 5pm, so sometime between noon and four might be best. Sorry about the lack of details and planning on this.
