Productive Sunday

Sunday morning I finished J/S' St. Louis-style undershirt. Yay! I did the main seams on the machine, but I did all the flat-felling and hems and neckbinding by hand, which is the only way my conscience allows me to do it, and that's why it took a week.

Our lovely Princess came over in the late afternoon and by the time she left she had a 16th C basic bodice pattern. Wow, look, I *can* still do this stuff. ;-) Nice time smoozing with her beautiful Self, as well.

But wait, there's more! I touched up the paint on my pavillion poles, and completed something for work that had to be turned in this morning. *And* I managed to read some more of Fashion in the Age of the Black Prince.

Saturday was fun too. After getting a late start I had a decent ride on the Paint Princess, then had a very fun at misagillian and leohtulf's housewarming party. And Friday was smoozing and handsewing over at Marguerite's. A very nice weekend indeed. :-)

Now it's big-time Estrella prep. I've got to figure out what I'm sending on the WK Estrella truck and get that all ready to go by Saturday. Then I've got to finish the alterations on my red Tudor Tailor kirtles, do a quick alteration on a warm wool tunic that Marguerite is lending me, and make a war favor for my sweetie. :-)

After Estrella it's all about 14th C sewing. In addition to what I've written before, it looks like there are some other 14th C activities coming up. Who knew 2009 would be the year of the 14th C? I didn't see it on the calanders *I* bought... ;-)

In the Middle, it is the year of the Viking, continued. We have had back to back Norse reigns with a third on the way. All the sovereigns have been and are lovely people, but I'm not so keen on the Viking clothing.

I'm trying to organize at 16th century coup. :D
