Continuing on from my last post...

ppfuf suggested a small 14th C playspace for Mists Coronet (October 16-18). I'd be willing, anyone else interested? I don't know where the site is, and October is a packed month for the West, and we'd be competing with the Lists -- all downsides. But we could design it to be managable. Again, anyone interested?
- Looks like the overwheming vote is for 16th C at W/AT 2010. What if we made the Salon an all-day thing, and offer little How To classes along with the continuing party, sort of like a mini Courtier School. We could offer a writing class, and then all write letters and have them sealed and delivered. We could teach one game, like 31, or Goose (everybody already knows how to play bocce ;-) ). Dance would be hard because of the uneven ground, but I'm sure we could teach one English Country (or and Extreme Terrain version of Contapasso? ;-) ). We could do a play read-through schedualled as a 'class'. And/or storytelling, or a group discussion schedualled so that people could prepare something. (I've also like the idea of having a hat of Rennaissance discussion topics that people could just pick from for smoozing and general ice-breaker conversations. :-) ). I'd want the party to be continual, though, and not have 'classes' take over. Ideal, to my mind, would have it be a "happening", living playspace and not have it just be a classroom setting.
