RedAlert! Men's Fashion Attack!
Jan. 13th, 2008 11:10 pmLook's like the Bad Idea Faries of the fashion industry have struck the guys. Owen just showed me the following and I wouldn't believe it was true.

Now, before some of you male fashionistas out there (I'm talking to you, Ivar) pipe up, Yes, I know, there is precedent for men wearing shorts and jackets. Yes, I know that rabbit hunting with basset hounds tradionally has hunting jackets with bermuda shorts (I am not making this up). But it was a bad idea then and it's a bad idea now. *Especially* with dress socks and dress shoes. Very bad indeed.
And the knicker thing? With a boxy, modern jacket? Again, with dress socks and modern male dress shoes? Oh dear god just shoot me. Looks like some kinky Herminonie fetish wear. I'd be more willing to believe it if it were accompanied by boots or half chaps/gaiters or something, but still...
Mind you, kilts are OK if you have the body to wear them.
Do these people really think this look will sell? I'm still not 100% sure this isn't some sort of joke.
