Come be Divine, Darlings!
Jul. 24th, 2006 08:19 pmOK, the wedding is over. The work project is over. Time to get cracking on the Aug.12th Rapier Event Salon! Only three weeks, but we can still do this! (I believe, I believe...)
If there's anybody out there that can and want to help me with this, I'd appreciate volunteers. The original plan was to have Nyads, but I'm told that there is no water hook up at the site (which is in Scotts Valley, BTW). If we want a kiddie pool we will have to fill it with gallon containers, or whatever. So I'm thinking of a more generic 16th-C-folks-play-Greek-God theme. The costumes could still be pretty simple -- chemises draped with garlands--but people could get as creative as they like.
We will have a gazebo, which I think would be a nice place for game tables. Not sure if we can pull off a food table at this late date, though. I will definately need tables, though I might be able to borrow one from Marguerite.
I'm going to send an email off to jeffy-matt and Vyncent, to see if there is any chance of musicians.
Anyway, if you're not going to Pennsic, and this sort of thing interests you, let me know!
:-) (Of course, I also understand that a number of you are up to your eyeballs with Laurelling Ceremony-fu. Fun Fun Fun...)
