Well, that worked out well...
Mar. 18th, 2006 05:02 pmI made onerie's version of "sausages in pottage" (Casteau). Since her version feeds 16 (which I figured was a good number for the Bellatrix crowd), I made it in two batches: 1/2 last night and 1/2 today. It came out pretty darn yummy! OK, I did add more white wine, per madbaker's version.
I also invested in a FoodSaver. Per instructions, I'm freezing this stuff before sealing it.
I put last night's batch in a gallon FoodSaver bag, and this afternoon's batch in 3 one-quart bags. I think I'll bring the gallon bag and one quart bag for the potluck, because I don't want to have any leftovers, and there always seems to be too much food at these things.
Now I've got to figure out how to use the FoodSaver. It came with an instrutional DVD, so I'm going to watch that after I finish this post.
Thanks again for the recipes, folks. :-)

OK, I've got to finish some handwork before Crown, and I've got to get back to Salon planning.
Have a good rest of the weekend, everybody!
