Shedding Season At The Barn

On Friday, Brandee was shedding a little bit. I didn't see her all weekend. I went to the barn tonight and she was shedding *handfuls* of hair. Someone else mentioned that their horses were starting to shed a bunch too. I haven't noticed the cats shedding over much, so I don't know if this says anything about the onset of winter.

Nice to be back in the saddle, though, I must say. :-)

Oh! Cool - horsehair! Would be willing to save some for me? I know it's a funny request, but the shorter hair is the bomb for padding helmet coifs... And it washes fine in a muslin bag.

It is hard to save when we just brush, but I can try. I'll be having Brandee clipped in the late Fall (probably November), and I'll get a big bag of hair from that. :-)

Well, the advisory I got today said we're looking at cooler weather on Friday. And I saw a flock of geese heading south, flying high and fast. So maybe, just maybe, we're heading into winter.
