callistotoniI just couldn't motivate myself to move much today. Maybe my body was recovering from not sleeping well from the headache, I don't know.
But I did get the veil made for HM, and a finished my Victorian chemise. Go me! I tell you, sewing goes a lot faster when a) you don't make your own pattern, and b) the thing you're making really doesn't require much in the way of fitting. Still a week and a day from start to finish is some kind of record for me for any sort of sewing project.
And to be honest, there is stuff wrong with the chemise. The tucks are kinda uneven (much worse on the back piece than the front) and the yoke top stiching is not great -- I almost ripped it out, but I remembered the mantra Done Is Beautiful and just went with it.
