Sick and Sad but Kinda Funny

My barn is full of barn swallows (suprise suprise...). Sometimes the very young fledglings fall out of their nests and die in the arena or where we tack up. So today while I'm tacking up Brandee notice one of these doomed creatures. I think it's dead, but just as I notice it's still sorta breathing Brandee steps right on it. Ew. Now I'm thinking "god I hope it doesn't stick 'cause I *really* don't want to pick a dead baby bird out of Brandee's hoof.

After the training ride and my lesson I go and rinse Brandee off. Just as I'm walking her back to her stall a bird poop lands right on Brandee's back. Somehow this struck my as some sort of birdie payback. :-P
