Inauspicious beginning

callistotoniWhen I woke up today the sewer was backing up into my downstairs bathroom. Called Roto-Rooter. Luckily, Owen was going to be around so he could deal with it and I could get into work.
I get into work to find that Andrew (madbaker's fuzzy upstairs neighbor) got called in for jury duty. Augers bad for me, because I have to call tonight to see if I have to go into Oakland tomorrow for my own stint of jury duty. This all can't come at a worse time.
At least I managed to get out to the barn and ride last night. I hadn't gotten out there since last Wednesday, and it looks like I won't be getting back there until Saturday (either before or after I come into work :-P ). Brandee's not suffering, though; she's getting turn outs, and Thursday and Friday Erica the Trainer will be out. Heck, Erica's even going to take Brandee out for a trail ride -- Happy Brandee!
