Yes, when I first saw the graphic this morning, I thought "What are they doing? Holmes' birthday is January 6." We are all geeks in our own ways :-)

As for the font of knowledge known as JIMR... how did you know that S.H.'s birthday is January 6th? (Which short story designates his birthday as January 6th?)

I don't recall off the top of my head. It is in Baring-Gould's Annotated Sherlock Holmes. I'll look it up and let you know.
