Thanks for all your support with the travel passport thing; I appreciated it more than you can know. :-)

Per the suggestion of some of you, I'm sending off my birth certificate request to Los Angeles County rather than the State, in hopes of getting it faster (I was born in Lynwood, CA). It is true, I could get it in person at the county office, but I'd have to travel down to LA to do it--not gunna happen right now.

I do, in fact, benefit from gentle nagging and encouragement. Thanks again!
