Rain, fur, and antibiotics
Oct. 13th, 2009 05:12 pmCalled and got a doctor's appointment for this afternoon, so I stayed home, out of the storm, and waited for my 2:45 appt. Doctor thinks that my problem is, once again, my @%^!!! sinuses and gave me some antibiotics and a perscription for more if necessary. My body is not feeling so out of it and achy painy today, but my jaw/ear ach it the same as yesterday. Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon.
Working on the Sub-Optimal-But-Learning-Experiance tippits, and I think I can finish them before bedtime tonight -- yay! My sewing area is afloat with white rabbit fur (which matches the white kitty fur quite nicely ;-) ).
Poor Brandee is not going to clear her stall today. It's been rainy and windy all day and doesn't look like it's letting up any time soon. Given that in the best traffic it's a 40 min drive to the barn, and all the accidents I've read about (a normal thing here in CA when the first big rain hits) I've decided to stay off road. I'm thinking Brandee is better served by an alive and unhurt Mommy than a traffic accident victim. Supposed to change to light rain tomorrow, so I'll make it up to the Paint Princess then.
J/S tells me that his gamboson is no longer working for him (no pressure! ;-) ), so after the tippits get on this overcotehardie it's time to tackle the Charles du Blois poupoint pattern. I've still have a big mental block about this project, even though all I have to do is Follow The Instructions on
tashadandelion's pattern. I don't know why I'm so intimidated by this darn project. Part of it, I'm sure, is my mental baggage about all my gambason attemps being complete failures. :-/ I also am intimidated by the fact that I won't be able to do a bunch of fittings because J/S still lives in another state. (%#%$@%*!!!-it, i.e. poosers :-( ). I'd kidnap Klaus and have him hold my hand through this project if it wasn't for the fact that he has a baby son, a job, and is in grad school. :-/
And just 2 more days until J/S flies in for the weekend -- yay! Coronet will have a fun crowd. :-)

Date: 2009-10-14 05:20 am (UTC)Like I've said in some previous posts, I'll still have to take care of Brandee in the morning and J/S might get a riding lesson, so I doubt we'll be able to show up until about noon or later. i can drop the bocce set and some drinking water off in the morning if folks think that's a good idea.
