Today was a good day. The highlight for me, personally, was having Marguerite and Gillian out for this year's Team Brandee Holiday Photo shoot.* This year is the theme was Angels. Marguerite took advantage of post-Halloween sales to get large white feathered wings and feather-boa halos. We attached the wings to Brandee using a sercingle (sp?). The halos used headbands, so we just stuck that on Brandee's head.** We put on white chemises and our own wings and halos and we were all good to go. We used Maguerite's camera and I know we got some really good (and hi-larious!) shots. I think we'll have trouble choosing which one to use for the framed Team Brandee photo. I got some of just me and Brandee, too, to use for my XMas cards (like I got last year.) :-)

*This has grown over the years, with this year being the 5th time Brandee has gotten dressed up for a photo for Xmas. It started with Marguerite surprising me with a B-day gift from "Brandee" (my b-day is right before Christmas). The first year it was Brandee in a Santa hat with jingle bells around her neck, the second year it was Brandee with a felt Chrismas Tree on her head with a tree skirt around her neck. The third year it was back to the classic Santa look. Last year was the first year I officially owned Brandee, so I really wanted cheesy/silly me and Brandee holiday cards. We had matching reindeer antlers, as some of you may remember. But the Team Brandee shot was me and Brandee in our antlers and Marguerite and Noah with silly festive hats. And this year it was angels. ;-)

**A comment to the few of you that read the West Kingdom EQ list: You know that recent thread about de-sensitizing your horse? Brandee being Brandee, I just felt that I had nothing constructive to add to that conversation. ;-) Although our little photo shoot was something of a de-sensitizing exercise for 2 horses at our barn. One *really* didn't like us, and another was unsure but decided we were OK when her mom agreed to take some pictures for us. :-) And, of course, Brandee did not care (and she got to graze some, wings and all, which was a win for her. ;-) ).

In other news, I also attended HH at Southern Shore's Juvenallia event, which was a very lovely small event. Some of the best pot-luck food ever! And the West Kingdom Choir sounded really good. :-)
