Tire died, change of plans
Jul. 13th, 2007 11:26 pmTonight on my way home from the barn, at about 9:20 PM, my back right tire died. I was able to get off the freeway but by the time I stopped the tire was deaddeaddead. Kinda freaked me out, 'cause that's never happened to me before. Called AAA, and called Jen and Pete, since I pulled off on the exit that leads to their place. Pete came out to keep me company -- many thanks!!!
The AAA guy came out and, after some fu, put on the kiddie tire. I'm sure I was the most unpopular person on 680 & 84 after that given the speed at which I could drive. But I got home same and sound at about 11 PM.
So instead of riding Brandee then heading over to Marguerites and then to the Crosston Arts Fete, I'm spending tomorrow getting new tires. In all fairness I was about due. But, still, there are more fun ways to spend one's time and money. :-/
