Had a very nice evening last night. Misagillian scored me a ticket to see the production of Camelot that mad_duchess mention, so last night Misagillian, leohtulf, Marguerite, Brian and I all got to see it. Very fun. I had some "issues" with the Numue part (way too much vibrato, cheesy wirework), and I had some trouble getting over the Queer-Eye-For-The-Straight-Guy metalic silver boots they gave to Lancelot, but other than that I thought it was a good show. :-) The guy that played Lancelot was particuarly good, and Micheal York made a fine Aurthur.

I am now thinking seriously about getting a season ticket for the American Musical Theater San Jose's next season. They will be performing Guys & Dolls, Little Shop of Horrors, Cabaret, and Beauty and the Beast, all of which I'd like to see. My computer here at work can't seem to download the AMTSJ's ticket price PDF, so I'll have to wait untill tonight to find out what season tickets cost.

Before the show we all had dinner at a place Marguerite's been telling me about for a while now. I think the restaurant was the address; something like 71 St. James. I had the prix fix dinner, which was a good deal. The food was good, but not exceptional (rather like Chantilly in Menlo Park). My biggest quibble was that their veal dish was, in fact, just a very nice cut of beef. I was good, it just wasn't veal. Oh well, perhaps that is better in the greater scheme of things.

Funny little aside: I hate crying, but I do it at the drop of a hat. "If Ever I Would Leave You" always gets to me, so I tried to think to myself during that number "Think silver lame boots!" but it didn't work. ;-)
