Getting back to normal
Jan. 15th, 2007 11:42 pmNot a full 100 percent well, but *much* better. I had a decently productive day at work, rode Brandee, and went to sewing night (which has shifted from Thursday to Monday). My ride didn't suck as much as I feared it might, which was a bonus. Brandee was a tiny bit high, I think, because it was cold, but she was fine under saddle. Plus we have a new reality with Marguerite back riding, so I think Brandee needs a bit of time to re-set to the new normal.
I got my new pink ropa*'s hem marked, so that is the next sewing thing on my agenda. Then it is on to the raisin wool kirtle. I've got all the pieces cut out and the skirt pieces sewn together at the side seams, so that is what I'm starting with. The clothing project after that may well be something to wear under the new pink ropa.
*Note to newer readers. For good or ill, the word 'ropa' has become the generic/shorthand term for a 16th C loose overgown. I kinda doubt the words zimarra or roba will edge it out. And, let's face it, "ropa" is a lot shorter than "16th C loose overgown".
