Completely Unimportant SCA Musing

A post over at HRJ's journal got me thinking about the following -- extremely non-critical-- SCA question: Have we as a group outgrown the concept of Wards of the Crown and the Ward Lord. Radnor trotted it out at Beltane this year, and I'm under the impression that the tradition had not been brought up for a long time.
