Crown: Crown was a pretty pleasant event, marred only by Johanna being sick and missing her B-day party. :-( Spent most of the weekend working for TMs. The entertainment went off very well, and I got lots of complements (which is weird because I wasn't the one *doing* the entertaining...) Allergies and lack of sleep got to me by Saturday afternoon, though -- many thanks to madbaker for the Zantac (sp?), which got me through the rest of the day. And I can't say enough of how nice a person Her M is. My only regret is not getting to spend the time I would have liked talking to people that I like. :-)

England trip: Things are getting more real. When I came home Monday night my passport had arrived. Johanna tells me the plan is to leave Oct. 6 and come back on the 16th. Ticket-buying will happen pretty soon.

Brandee has been doing pretty well. She had turn outs both Friday and Saturday, and a training ride Sunday, so she did not suffer over crown weekend. :-) And I had a good (if hot) ride on Monday, which made me happy.

Trying to sort out all the SCA stuff I want to help with. Now there's horses at Purg, and I'm still on R&Y's court. Purg will, therefore, be busier for me than usual. A&S there's the Tavern and I want to have my pink venetian done for that so I can help. August 12th is the rapier event, which will be in Scotts Valley and not Ed Levin. I think we can still be the 16th-C-Courtiers-playing-at-being-greek-gods thing, but maybe not with so much of a water emphasis. Big publicity push for this event needs to start at A&S. Then there's the Masque at 12th Night. Need to set up some planning deadlines so the necessary props can be taken care of. Learnteach, I'll be contacting you soon to touch base.

That's enough for now, I suppose.
