Nice evening, scary/weird drive

Last night I was listening to the radio on the way down the hill from the barn, and I heard there was a 6-car accident on 680, my direction. With the miricle of cellphones, I was able to arrange an impromptu dinner get-together with maestrateresa and Marguerite at the nearby Chili's. That was nice; I hadn't seen them for a week because of my being sick. I was happy to see that Marguerte seems to be recovering nicely from her foot surgury (which happened this Monday), and that maestrateresa has avoided coming down with my bug. Also nice to touch base before heading off to SF for the holiday.

This morning's commute was not fun. I got to be the victim of road rage (the guy actually followed me!) Very scary, and add to that people were in weird hurryupyourinmyway holiday driving mode on the way into work. This is when I like to believe that What goes Around Comes Around. Drive safe, everybody.

Turkey Day Plans: I'm going to pack tonight. Tommorrow morning I'm going to the barn to ride Jokie, then head on up to SF for T-day with D&A, madbaker and his wife, and several of D's relatives. Should be fun and yummy. The rest of the weekend will be spent smoozing, and hopefully catching some movies. I want to see Kinsey, and this might be a good time to see it, given that I think it has limited distribution (i.e. it is not likely to show out my way). Also interested in seeing the Alexander movie, despite its bad reviews (curiosity, doncha know). D and I have compared our movie lists, and agreed that there are many movies out there now that sound interesting.
