And now for something completely different:
One thing I vowed to do this year was return to sewing. No more putting everything on hold! Got my sewing stuff back and set up enough to be used (if not orgaized) and have started on three projects. The first is to complete a 12th night dress combo I started over a year ago. The second is to get a bag-sleeve houpalond suitable for riding done for March Crown.
The third is more interesting. aastg and I just spent a pleasant afternoon together to begin a new joint project. No deadlines, but we hope to make steady (if slow) progress. Now in the data gathering stages, but I have high hopes.
In addition, I've started sewing with some friends on Thursday nights. This works for me, because It Is On My Way Home--an absolute essential! Not much gets done, but some does, and it's nice to have a few hours dedicated to sewing per week, even if it is just a few. And, to be *brutally* honest, these folks don't need my help very much, so I can relax and focus on my own stuff. Truth to tell, I've never been very good about sewing for other people. Selfish I know, but there you are.
