Brandee had a good day :-)

Since we are expecting 5 days of rain I decided that Brandee needed one last run around in the outdoor arena. I have trouble with doing that on week nights because it's too dark. So I decided to go to the barn first and then to work and just work late.
Not only did Brandee get to run around, but she go to be turned out with two other paints, misagillian's Shasta and Shasta's 3-y.o. offspring Summer. They all got turned out for the first time together this last Sunday, and according to M and Misagillian Brandee once again proved her dominance by chasing them around. The Herd Order must have been established, because they were perfectly happy to just mosey around. Then Marguerite joined the fun and chased ofter them all with the whip and got them to run (finally). I tried to take some pictures using Marguerite's camera of the Paint Herd On The Move, but they may have all come out blurry.
Then I rode. It is obvious, but I continually note how much happier Brandee is when she gets some turnout time before getting tacked up. Can't do it all the time, though, unfortuanately.
Sigh. We'll see how bad the rain is. I *hate* formal lunging, although I *know* I should be working Brandee with the side reins (that was a homework assignment from Erica, so I need to suck up and deal before Erica gets back from her trip). And when it rains everybody has to crowd into the indoor arena so it's really hard to lunge anyway. :-/
I know we need the rain, but I was sure enjoying the unseasonably nice weather (as was Brandee, I'm sure).
