Mostly SCA-related:

-- Bunch-o alterations.
---- I need to take in my 2 red "Pauly-girl" dresses/petticotes (again). I knew they were loose at Purg but [livejournal.com profile] nightbocce tells me that I was falling out of them when I was on the ground rolling up my pavillion. :-P
---- I need to re-make my blue wool kirtle that [livejournal.com profile] g0atface make me for Estrella, because the way it's made that's the only way to take it in and not have it look clumsy.
---- Need to take in red coat made for Estrella. That is going to be a major pain, given how that thing is put together.
---- Need to take in the dress in the icon. While I'm at it, I'm going to make the shoulder straps *much* narrower because how it looks now is just not right. Given the fragility of that fabric this is not going to be fun. But I need that dress as a back-up 12th Night dress in case I can't get the masque costume done, and it would be an easy-to-pack dress to take to An Tir 12th Night.

-- Need to make wool sleeves and partlets to slip on red petticotes for evenings.

-- I should break down and make a cloak. I never want to do it, but at events I'm sorry when I don't have one. Now, with An Tir in my future, this seems more necessary than ever.

-- Need to finalize plans for Great Western War. J/S is coming (Yay!!!) and we get to camp with the Ermine Company. The basic plan is for J/S to fly down to San Jose and for us to drive Horace the Minivan down to the site. Big question now is what day we'll arrive, which all depends on when he can get off work.
Side note: J/S won't be fighting. One reason for that is he had an accident in the shop a month or so ago and seriously injured his left hand. Doctors say it will take about 6 months to heal. As it is, he can't close that hand all the way, so no holding shields for him (not to mention that it's super painful if it gets hit). But, like Cathyn at Prova Dura, I'm *sure* we can compensate for his missing the fighting. ;-)

-- I need to start painting my sunshade. I want it to echo my pavillion design. I also want to paint on the motto [livejournal.com profile] baron_antonio gave me, but I don't know if I should translate it into Latin or keep it in English. Of course, it might be more appropriate to leave the motto off and just go with the crosses and stripes. I hope I can find all my old cross templets. I also need to paint the sunshade polls.

-- Must repair pavillion polls before next camping season.

-- There is one outfit that I'm in the mood to sew, but it's not going to answer the needs I currently have for wool SCA clothes that fit. It's another Italian dress. But I wonder if I should start on middle-class Flemish stuff so I can have a suitable An Tir outdoor event wardrobe. Yeah, I know, maybe I'm jumping the gun. But gut-feel says I'm not. ;-)

-- Must seriously improve time management skills!!!

I'd go with a coat, too... Cloaks are just so awkward.

YAY GWW! :-D

I wanted to get my pavilion painted before then, but I doubt it's going to happen. But at least I will HAVE a pavilion!

"Gentle in Manner, Resolute in Deed". :-)

I second all the coat votes...

especially if you find you "need your arms" as I do. "pimp coat" was born from that need.
